My husband was a Vietnam Veteran

veteran dog tags

The dog tags pictured here belonged to my husband.

When he returned from Vietnam, he received a cold homecoming. He was shamed, abused and treated with utter distain. GI benefits were lacking and not one person said thank you for your service. He was so disheartened. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) wasn’t recognized and he had no organization like Project Help to give him a helping hand.

Luckily today our Veterans have Project Help which supports at risk Veterans and their families. The mission of Project Help is provide all veterans and their families the necessary logistics support and financial resources to be professionally and personally successful and to help those who served make a positive transition from military life to civilian life.

While due to COVID-19 most fundraising events have been cancelled; there is still a massive need amongst our veteran community. There is also a way for you to take the time to care and show your concern for our veterans. In memory of my husband and our veterans, I am asking you to DONATE to Project Help.

Please know that 100% of your donation goes directly to helping veterans and their families.

Thanking you in advance for your gift.

Sincerely,

J.W. McFarland’s Widow
