Meet the Nonprofit Founder for Project Help

Founder and CEO of Project Help – Sandy has had a long career in the nonprofit sector as well as an amazing career in the corporate world.  She was an accountant and IT liaison at a fortune 100 company in New Jersey and attained middle management level during her tenure.  She studied at WPU, Chubb, and Sacred Heart High School in Elizabeth NJ.

Sandy was married to a Vietnam Veteran for over 15 years until he died in 1978, leaving her with three young children that she raised on her own.  They are all adults now and she has two wonderful grandchildren who are the joy of her life.  Sandy resides in northern New Jersey and enjoys challenges, bike riding, baking and helping people in distress, especially veterans.

She has experienced many of the same issues that she helps our veterans with today.  “It was some of the worst of the worst things to go through, but, if you don’t quit and become a victim, you will soar to heights you would not have otherwise reached”.

Sandy is the driving force behind Project Help

She is open to speaking with anyone interested in supporting the cause no matter how large or small. Please give her a call at 973-875-2068 or send an email.

We appreciate the commitment of Project Help in your service to make our veterans lives better on a daily basis, we also thank Sandy Mitchell for her efforts in making the SOSVETS Unmet Needs Fund a reality.  ~David P., Outreach Coordinator, Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF)
