This is a direct quote from one of our recipient veterans. I am afraid if things continue our resources will not be able to cover the growing needs we are starting to see.
As of recent months, about 20% of nonprofits have closed up shop. Very sad but true. The ones suffering most are grass roots organizations just like Project Help.
Many are suffering much worse than we are. Why?
Because we:
- have extremely low overhead
- are ALL volunteer (yes, unpaid)
- all work from home and use our own equipment
Our work is considerable and our volunteers dedicate their free time to serving the needs of our most worthy population – our military veterans and families.
So here is my plea.
