As you know, Project Help is a veteran support service organization established to help veterans in times of need.
A while ago, I worked with a vet who was in dire straits. I met with him for hours at a time working through his problems. His pride was there and it took some convincing to get him to open up and allow me to help.
I can’t do this, my life is out of control and I just don’t know if I will ever recover.
After hours and days of talking we had a break through and I knew he would be ok. He had a blueprint on how to move forward and a friend to stand with him. We parted ways with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
So why am I sharing this with you now? I recently heard from this veteran again and he’s doing great. He’s got a fantastic life, great career, wonderful family and now wants to step up and serve on our board of directors!

This is what the mission is all about… a veteran we serve overcomes huge obstacles and decides to give back to other vets that are hurting. I just can’t tell you how happy and excited I am about this.
Only in America can stories like this happen. Only in America are we free to show our love of country and our veterans. Only in America… I’m proud to be an American and I’m sure you are too.
